Privacy policy

• Your name, email address and, if you tell us, your date of birth, grade and province.
• Your subjects, marks and APS, so we can match you to programmes and bursaries.
• Your career interests and goals, and the skills lessons you complete.
• Your applications, funding applications and the documents you upload for them.
• Your chat messages with the AI guide, and interview practice summaries and scores.
• If you are under 18: your parent or guardian's name, email address and their approval decision.

We do not store your interview recordings. The recording is made and played back on your own device and is never uploaded to us. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

To give you guidance that fits your marks and goals, to pre-fill your application forms and CV, to keep your progress between visits, to coach your interview answers, and to keep the platform safe.

• You, when you are signed in.
• Anyone you give a parent or guardian share link to — they can see marks, matches and application progress until you switch the link off.
• Our AI guidance provider, which receives only the text needed to answer you and does not use it to train models.
• Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data securely on our behalf.

We never submit applications on your behalf and we never share your documents with an institution or funder — you upload them to the institution yourself using the links we give you.

A learner under 18 may browse careers, chat with the guide, calculate an APS and do skills lessons. Before they upload documents or record interview answers, a parent or guardian must approve using a private approval link. The guardian's name, email and decision are stored as the record of that approval. A guardian may withdraw approval at any time by writing to support@applywisehub.app.

Deletion of uploaded documents after 6 months is automatic — we do not wait for you to ask.

You may ask us what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete a document, or close your account and have your information deleted. Write to support@applywisehub.app and we will act within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Documents live in private storage that only you (and our maintenance jobs) can reach. Database access is restricted per account, so one learner can never read another learner's data. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
